Since 2016, Nicole Craanen has been building relationships within the architectural and design community to help create greater awareness for Brothers Interiors. She has over a decade of experience, with a special emphasis on Biophilic Design.
As a world traveler and lover of the outdoors, Nicole was inspired to study Biophilic Design, creating spaces that are in sync with what is natural to human well-being (www.rootedinnature.org). Biophilic design examines ways to enhance the well-being of employees, patients or students. Ultimately, it can help a company achieve bottom line goals and enhance employee recruitment and retention.
Her background as a commercial interior designer allows her to collaborate and consult with architects, designers, and companies in a variety of industries. She is also a facilitator for the Milwaukee Living Building Challenge Collaborative that’s focused on community transformation through sustainable design.
Nicole has a Master of Fine Arts from UW-Madison, National Council for Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ), WELL AP credentials, and is a LEED Green Associate. She lives in suburban Milwaukee and enjoys hiking, travel and photography in her spare time.
